Portrait of a TNCS Teacher
The Portrait of a TNCS Teacher was born out of an essential question in our strategic plan: “How does TNCS design an enhanced, comprehensive experience that prepares students for their future? A cornerstone of TNCS’s unique program are the gifted educators that comprise the faculty.
Faculty members engaged in an iterative process that looked at the values, qualities, and attributes that embody a TNCS teacher. This design process started pre-pandemic. Over time, our collective thinking evolved as the faculty reflected on how educators were forced to adapt during the pandemic. The Portrait went through numerous revisions based on faculty dialogue and discussion.
Meant as a companion guide to our Portrait of a TNCS Graduate, the Portrait of a TNCS Teacher is composed of five essential pillars. Each pillar further identifies the knowledge, skills, and characteristics that embody a TNCS teacher.
