Welcome New Trustees!

Today we welcome 3 additions to The New Community School’s 2018-19 Board of Trustees. Read below to learn more about Keith Dull, Wilson Friend, and returning member Pettus LeCompte.

Keith Dull

Keith Dull was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A graduate of Davidson College with graduate studies at Vanderbilt University, he moved to Richmond in 1978 to work as a financial advisor.

Keith and wife Susan Gill Dull have two children, Tyler and Alex (G’11). They were active in the Parents Association while at TNCS, and Susan helped start the READ Art Show & Sale. Keith is an active member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, where he has served many lay leadership roles. He is the former chair of the corporate board of Westminster Canterbury, trustee of the WC Foundation Board, and serves as a trustee for the Downtown YWCA, Center for Interfaith Reconciliation, and the Trustee of the Funds.

Wilson Friend

Wilson H. Friend currently serves the role of Sr. Director, Account Information Services for Altria Client Services (ALCS). In his current role, he is responsible for enhancing business process and leveraging technology to improve productivity and capability for Altria’s Tobacco Operating Companies and Altria Group Distribution Company (AGDC). In addition, he leads the development of innovative solutions to provide category information and insights to support brand program execution.

Wilson joined the company in 1993 and has held several leadership positions since receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from James Madison University in 1992. Wilson and his wife Gina, who is the assistant director of the Lower School at St. Catherine’s School, are the parents of Sydni, TNCS Class of 2018.

 

Pettus LeCompte

Pettus LeCompte is a longtime trustee of The New Community School, having served from 1995-2001, 2004-2010, and 2012-2017. Pettus is the Vice President of Straus, Itzkowitz & LeCompte Insurance Company, headquartered in Richmond. He and wife Ellen are the parents of Hunter T’99 & Benjamin T’01 and live in the Byrd Park area of Richmond.
