ALL-SCHOOL NEWS
Halloween Costume Contest
The Halloween Costume Contest is coming up on Tuesday, October 31. The categories for the competition are judge’s choice, scariest, funniest, and most original. Students will trick-or-treat around campus with their field day teams at the end of the day. There will be no Extra Help that day.
Spirit Wear Store Open Through November 8
TNCS Spirit Wear Store is open! Now through the end of the day November 8 you can place orders online for screen-print Saber wear and PE shirts. This will be the last time this school year to order these items.
- Click here to place orders (www.bsnteamsports.com/v3/shop/team_shop/GoSabers17)
- PE Shirts: Please note that the first 2 shirts shown are the PE shirts (Badger 20 Basic Performance C2 Tee and C2 Basic Performance Youth Tee)
- Gift Orders? All orders will arrive at TNCS prior to Winter Break and will be distributed to students. If you are purchasing a gift and do not want them given to your son or daughter, please be sure to use YOUR name on the order. Orders with student names will be given to students; orders with parent names will not. We will notify those parents to pick up their order.
Embroidered items and gifts (cups, totes, lunch bags, and more) can also be ordered anytime throughout the year from Land’s End and are delivered to you at home. Visit tncs.org/parents/spiritwear for details on our 2 Land’s End sites.
NHS Movie Night
The TNCS chapter of NHS is sponsoring a movie night on Friday, November 3rd! Events will kick off at 5pm in Greenwood Commons. The event should end at around 7pm. Students will be signing up to attend in the next couple of days and can charge this event to their accounts. We’ll have drinks, popcorn, apples, and pizza (by the slice). The cost per student should not be more than $10 and will probably be less (unless they are huge pizza eaters!) And the movie? Cars 3. Please direct any questions to faculty advisor, Gita Morris.
Parent/Advisor Conferences
A reminder that Parent/Advisor Conferences are Tuesday, November 7. There are no classes that day. Students do not participate in this conference, that will happen in the spring. Please schedule your conference time with the advisor by Wednesday, November 1st. If you also have a need for a special meeting with a teacher other than the advisor, you may sign up for those meetings starting on Thursday, November 2 through Monday, November 6.
Parents Association Fall Raffle: Coming This Week!
Have you been wanting to get away to the beach, try out the winery in Barboursville, or been dreaming about the tacky lights tour? The raffle is sponsored by the TNCS Parents Association and all funds raised will go directly back to TNCS, providing support for academics, student life, technology, and more!
