Travel Opportunity

Students who will be enrolled in grades 9-12 at TNCS during the 2020-2021 school year have an exciting opportunity to travel to Costa Rica this summer! The trip will take place June 7-13, 2020 and will focus on the biodiversity of this unique region. Kyle Foulger, TNCS Science Department Chair, will lead this trip. An informational parent meeting about this opportunity is scheduled for November 5th at 6pm in Greenwood Commons. For more information, e-mail kfoulger@tncs.org

Progress Scores

Where do you see your child’s progress scores? As teachers post assessments, Standards: Live Report generates a real time report tracking a student’s progress. Don’t see any scores? Just use the Select Marking Period dropdown menu to move to the previous quarter and review the last report. Click here for step-by-step instructions.

Tech Tip of the Week

Did you know that Microsoft has a free app that converts pictures into PDFs? Office Lens is a cool tool that lets you digitize anything your smart phone can photograph. This handy app is very friendly and shares with photo library, PDF, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote! Did your teacher write awesome notes on the board? Take a photo with Office Lens and you can save those notes in your Class Notebook for that teacher’s class. The app is free and available in both the App Store and the Google Play store. This app can be a valuable resource to students of all ages.
