Giving Day

In order to raise money for hurricane victims, TNCS is organizing a Giving Day on Thursday, October 19th. If students donate at least $5 to support hurricane victims, they are allowed to wear tier one attire for the entire day. When students arrive to school on Thursday in tier one attire, they should report to Greenwood Commons to make their donation. They will then receive a Giving Day wristband which will demonstrate to teachers that they have participated in Giving Day.

Progress Review Friday

Reminder: Friday, October 20 is Progress Review. There will be no classes that day.

Simulation: Experience Dyslexia

Join us on October 18th from 6-8pm as we host a simulation designed to help you experience the difficulties and frustrations that people with dyslexia and related learning differences encounter daily with reading, writing, and spelling. This simulation helps parents, teachers, and other professionals actually feel what it‘s like to have a reading or processing problem. Free and open to the public. Space is limited – RSVP to info@tncs.org

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS

Westminster Canterbury Visit

Next Wednesday will be our first visit of the year to Westminster Canterbury! We will visit with the residents there three times this year. Students will be able to join one of the social groups to get to know some of the people who live, work and go to daycare just down the road from our school. Our purpose is to form relationships with these neighbors and enjoy time together. Examples of some of the groups are helping in the Child Development Center, Horticulture, Balloon Volleyball, Croquet, Art, Exercise, Board Games and more!
