ALL-SCHOOL NEWS
READ Art Show & Sale
We are starting to plan for the 12th annual READ Art Show & Sale, which will take place March 27-28, 2020! This event is the Parents Association’s largest fundraiser and is a great community-wide event. It takes many hands to pull it off and the PA needs as many parents as possible to pitch in. The committee meets regularly in the months prior to READ securing artists, planning the reception, securing sponsors, and more. If you are interested in learning more about helping on the committee, please join us on Wednesday at 4:30 in Westbrook House! Meeting notices will be posted here in the Weekly and all parents are welcome to attend. Please also mark your calendar for the week of March 23-29. We will send out a Sign Up Genius in early 2020 with lots of ways you can support READ! New to TNCS and don’t know much about READ? Click here to learn more!
Tech Tip of the Week
Catalina, the latest OSx for Mac, is now appearing in the App Store. As of right now, we haven’t field tested yet. We will send word once we have verified our field test was successful. Please hold off on updating for a while. If you have questions, reach out to Mrs. DelMonte.

ATHLETICS
Saber Sports Sign-ups
Sign ups for Saber Sports will happen next week. All students will be given a sign up sheet with our winter and spring Saber Sports teams, and will be able to check the box(es) of the sports in which they wish to participate. Once sign-ups are complete, we will finalize our staffing and scheduling, then publish team-by-team logistical information. Here is a description of our winter and spring Saber Sports offerings for you to discuss with your student prior to sign ups. Each sport listed must have enough students sign up for the sport/team to “make.” TNCS is a member of the VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association). The sports and activities TNCS sponsors are based on VISAA recognition, available resources, student/staff interest, and available competition. Students interested in competing in sports not offered at TNCS are encouraged to join local recreational leagues (e.g., boys volleyball leagues at RVC, girls softball leagues through Little League).
Food Truck During Thursday’s Home Games
The Boardwalk food truck will be on campus Thursday, October 17 during our home games. Please consider staying for dinner and watching the contests that will be going on. We’re hoping the truck finds coming in the evenings is worth their while. Adding hot food concessions to our game day atmosphere is fun!
Athletic Schedules
Daily schedules for each team can be found at www.tncsathletics.org. Please create a FAN ACCOUNT for your child’s team so you can receive alerts of schedule changes.
