Calling all Grandparents! 

Join us for TNCS’s first Grandparents Association meeting Thursday, May 9 from 11-11:50am in Greenwood Commons (Founders Hall). All TNCS grandparents are members of the Association and are invited to attend. Similar in format to a Parents Association meeting, we will visit, hear an update on the year from school leadership, and discuss future events and plans for the Association. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Virginia McAndrew 

NHS Food Drive Success

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the NHS Food Drive! A total of 479 pounds was collected and donated to Feed More!

Tech Tip of the Week: Navigating a Digital Life

Who could have guessed that one day passwords would rule our lives? It seems that everything these days requires you to log in and, if you log in, you can be tracked. If you are tracked that data provides insights into your habits, likes, etc. Remember, information is power in the digital age! Now more than ever you need to have robust passwords. Year-End Celebration Trip

The permission form for our annual year-end celebration trip to Camp Friendship is in your email! You can also find it here. Our trip is on Monday, May 20, with a rain date of Tuesday, May 21. Please return the Camp Friendship Waiver Form promptly. 

Macbook for Rising 8th Graders

Reminder: Current 7th grade students will need a Macbook Pro or Air for the 2019-2020 school year at TNCS. Please see the Technology Specifications on our website for more details and direct questions to Jessica DelMonte.

This information provides an excellent opportunity for us to celebrate your success and serves as inspiration to your fellow Sabers by bringing awareness of financial awards that may be available. Upper School Luau CANCELLED

The Student Advisory Board invites all Upper School students to a luau-themed dance on campus, Saturday, May 11. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available. Cost is $5, payable in advance (cash only). 

AP U.S. History Exam

Good luck to our AP U.S. History students, who will take the AP exam on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11!

Year-End Celebration Trip

The permission form for our annual year-end celebration trip to Lake Monocan is in your email! You can also find it here. Our trip is on Friday, May 17, with a rain date of Monday, May 20. Please return the permission form promptly so we can get an accurate count for food. 

Class Rings for Sophomores and Juniors

Did you miss out on ordering a class ring when Jostens was on campus? No worries! Students and families are welcome to visit the Jostens Website  to check out the many ring options and submit orders online.    

SAT for Juniors

Juniors will take the SAT at TNCS on May 4th and 5thStudents should report to Founders Hall no later than 8:15am. Students should bring the following with them on both days of the test: computer, charger, headphones, #2 pencils, snacks, and water. *They will also need to bring the admission ticket that contains the registration number needed for the test.


ATHLETICS

Athletic Schedules

Daily schedules for each team can be found at www.tncsathletics.org. Please create a FAN ACCOUNT for your child’s team so you can receive alerts of schedule changes.   


LUNCHES

Pizza Mondays

Mondays are pizza days for lunch at TNCS, to benefit the athletic department. Slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza from Domino’s are available. Students place their order on sheets posted on campus. Pizza is $1.50/slice. Drinks are also available for $1.00. Both are billed to the student’s account. Cash is not accepted.

We are looking for parent volunteers to help serve pizza on Mondays from 11:45am – 1:15. Click here to sign up to help!

Jason’s Deli Lunch Options Tuesday – Thursday

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays students are able to purchase in advance lunches from Jason’s Deli. Orders are submitted online by noon the day before delivery. Click here for the order form, which can also be found via a link at the top of the school’s homepage.

Food Truck Fridays

Join us for our Food Truck Fridays! Upper School Lunch, 12:32 – 1:05; Middle School Lunch, 11:58  12:31.  

  • Friday, May 10 – Pizza Lunch – Proceeds benefit Saber Athletics 
  • Friday, May 17 – Upper School– End of Year Celebration Trip; Middle School – Jason’s Deli is available for lunch orders on this day!
