ALL-SCHOOL NEWS
New Students
We would like to welcome our new students to the TNCS family. We have five new students who started with us second semester. Two are joining our Middle School. Anthony Chandler has joined our 6th grade class. He is coming to us from the Light of the World Academy in Montross, Virginia. Joining our 7th grade class is Jackson Vines coming from St. Edward’s in Richmond. We have three students who started in our Upper School. Chloe Myers is in 9th grade and she has traveled from Texas where she attended Argyle High School, and Jeff Hodell, also in 9th grade, is joining us from Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield. Theo Frankel is joining our 10th grade class. He last attended Maggie Walker Governor’s School in Richmond. Please give a warm welcome to our newest students and their families. They are all wonderful additions to our TNCS family.

Tech Tip of the Week
Happy New Year! The beginning of the 2nd semester of school is a great time to get organized. Scoop all of your 1st semester work into a 1st semester folder and start fresh with 2nd semester folders. You can also put a copy in your OneDrive cloud for safe keeping. Don’t throw things away, you may not know when you will need them again. Wouldn’t it be nice to begin a ‘new’ semester with fresh folders? Below is just one suggestion of how to organize your school work.

Ski Trip
The TNCS Upper School will go to Massanutten Ski Resort for our annual Ski Day on Friday, January 25. This annual trip is a lot of fun and will be well supervised by TNCS faculty. We will continue to offer tubing as well. This is a great alternative to skiing/snowboarding, especially for those who don’t know how to ski. The tubing area will be well supervised by teachers. This trip is optional; however, if your child does not attend the trip, they should stay home that day. There will be no alternative activities on campus.
The permission form contains more information and must be returned to the school office on or before Wednesday, January 16th. Alternately, the form can be filled out electronically and emailed to jcarmichael@tncs.org. If you have questions, please direct them to jcarmichael@tncs.org.
