Weekly Update: February 22 – 28
Posted by TNCS on Feb 21, 2020
The Parents Association’s annual fundraiser is the READ Art Show & Sale. This year’s 12th annual event will be March 27-28 and features over 80 regional artists showcasing their work in support of our students. Last year the event raised over $108,000! There is a ticketed opening reception on Friday evening, this year featuring The Susan Greenbaum Duo, and open free on Saturday. Look for your invitation in the mail in the next few days! This is the PA’s largest effort and as many parents as possible are needed to pull it off. Click here to view a Sign Up Genius for volunteer needs the week of the event, as well as items to donate. If you have any questions about the READ Art Show & Sale, or about donating or volunteering, please contact April Eddleton.
Saber Summer Spectacular
We are excited to introduce the Saber Summer Spectacular, a completely revamped summer program for middle and upper school students! We continue to offer many academic classes to expand and improve on basic skills, but we have added numerous additional courses for students to experience their areas of interest. Courses include reading, writing, math, technology, cooking, drama, Tae Kwon Do, fishing… and so many more! The Saber Summer Spectacular is open to all area rising 5-12 grade students so spread the word! We will send this information out to the public next but wanted to introduce it to our Saber families first. Click here to view the course catalog and registration form. Online registration is coming soon! Contact Margie Gray with any questions.
Tech Tip of the Week
With flu season in full swing, don’t forget to keep your device clean and as germ free as possible. When cleaning a laptop or iPad, it is best to power off before cleaning. Use paper towel dampened with a dab of a Lysol wipe to clean surface areas (make sure no liquid drips). Follow by wiping the device with a lint free cloth to dry surface areas. Don’t forget to disinfect cell phones too, they harbor a lot of germs! Stay well Sabers!!!
