Tech Tip of the Week
Do you ever wish there was a guide to help you help your child navigate games, social media, and other 21st century issues? National Online Safety is a website based in the UK that has a wealth of digestible tip sheets, videos, and other resources for parents. You will need to register to access the resources, but it’s always nice to have another tool in your parent bag.
There are still spots available for the Middle School Ski Day trip to Massanutten on Friday, February 7. We will continue to accept permission forms as long as there is space available on the buses. More information can be found here. The form can be filled out electronically and emailed to email@example.com.
Video Production Course Opportunity
The Richmond Performing Arts Alliance is offering a Video Production Course. Students are introduced to the world of videography from the inception of an idea and storytelling to setting up single and multi-camera productions, editing, and content distribution. They also have the opportunity to put their skills to use by serving as the crew for RPAA’s live-streamed and recorded events. These events are produced out of the Digital Arts Lab in RPAA’s Genworth BrightLights Education Center. Endorsed by the Virginia Department of Education, this semester course is eligible for a .5 independent study credit for high school students. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 4-7pm from February 5 – May 20. The course is only $150 for private students and home-schooled students. If you would like more information or have questions, please contact RPAA’s Media Content Specialist – Andrew Keeton at firstname.lastname@example.org or 804.592.3392.
Daily schedules for each team can be found at www.tncsathletics.org. Please create a FAN ACCOUNT for your child’s team so you can receive alerts of schedule changes.
Mondays are pizza days for lunch at TNCS, to benefit the athletic department. Slices of cheese and pepperoni pizza from Domino’s are available. Students place their order on sheets posted on campus. Pizza is $1.50/slice. Drinks are also available for $1.00. Both are billed to the student’s account. Cash is not accepted.
We are looking for parent volunteers to help serve pizza on Mondays, and a few Fridays, from 11:45am – 1:15. Click here to sign up to help!
