New Faculty Spotlight: Lauren Clelland

Meet Lauren Clelland, a new Middle School LF Teacher!

Lauren Clelland is a Maryland native who relocated to Richmond in the summer of 2014. She attended Clemson University as an undergraduate and then completed her graduate work at Johns Hopkins University earning a Masters in Special Education. As a special educator in Maryland, Lauren has a diverse background in both the private and public sectors, serving as Director of Curriculum at the Benedictine School on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. When her family relocated to Richmond, she accepted a teaching position in Henrico County teaching at both Nuckols Farm & Echo Lake Elementary Schools. As a product of a private school education, Lauren is excited about joining the faculty at TNCS.

Lauren and her husband, Lance, live in Richmond with their three children, Lorelei (9), Lance (8), and Lawson (4). Her family also includes two dogs, a cat, and an eye-lash crested gecko. She completed the Richmond Half-Marathon last year and is training to run the Baltimore Half-Marathon this fall.
