New Faculty Spotlight – Rhonda Chambers

Welcome our new School Nurse – Rhonda Chambers!
Rhonda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing and two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Texas at Austin in Psychology and Sociology and is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.
For the past year, Rhonda worked as a Critical Care Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital, on the Progressive Surgical and Bariatric Unit. She also worked for several years in an administrative capacity, for a community-based clinical trials group that provided experimental therapies to HIV/AIDS patients. Rhonda was a Personal Trainer at the YMCA and provided in-home training for 6 years. She has also coached her kids’ sports including volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, & football.
Rhonda enjoys physical fitness, practicing yoga & meditation, riding/playing with her horse, Shiloh, learning about holistic/alternative therapies, and watching NCAA sports, especially Texas Longhorn football & all college lacrosse.
Rhonda has been married to husband Brent for 24 years. They have five children: Kyle, Luke, Evan, Sean, and Abigail, and four pets, including a dog, a cat, a bunny, & a horse.
